I’m Back from USA and Have Lots For You!

Posted by Stelios Eleftheriou on May 20th, 2008

I’m finally back emailing you from Cyprus.

I haven’t emailed you for ages… as most of you
know I went to USA to attend the Mass Control
Seminar.

In this blog post I’ll tell you:

- How the seminar went and my biggest tip from it
- Show you pictures from my trip to USA
- What’s in store for the future
===================================================
HOW THE SEMINAR WENT AND MY BIGGEST TIP FROM IT
——————————————–

The seminar was great with awesome speakers…
Frank Kern, Eben Pagan, Jeff Walker, Jason Moffatt,
Bob Serling, John Carlton as well some guest-speakers
like Ed Dale, Mike Filsaime and more.

I enjoyed the seminar’s content a lot and got the
chance to network with some very cool marketers.

Here’s the biggest tip I got out of the seminar:

You need to focus and be good at
             1 single specific thing!

Yes, I hear you… “duh, focus - that’s common sense”.

Here’s my definition of *focus* in this context:

Become an expert in one thing e.g SEO, Adwords etc
and have everything else you are doing revolve
around that.

In other words, it doesn’t mean you have to quit
being an affiliate marketer if you decide to master
Adwords - you can incorporate affiliate marketing
and list building into your Adwords promotions.

It does mean you shouldn’t be buying and trying
everything under the sun which is totally unrelated
to Adwords. e.g Craigslist, Bum Marketing etc

WHAT’S IN STORE FOR THE FUTURE
—————————————

It seems I have fallen off the face of the earth for
the past month.

As much as I would like to tell you that I’m this
big guru, who never makes mistakes and never screws
up… that would be a total lie.

I’m not a guru and I screw up all the time.

I do make a living online and have figured out some
things on the way - which I’ll be sharing more of
in the future.

But my main point is that I’m a regular person like
you who is screwing up and fails more often than I
care to admit :)

As long as we learn from our mistakes and bounce
back by not repeating them and keep doing what works
then it’s all good in my book.

Now that we’ve established that I’m a total idiot
at times - here are 3 things I will be focusing
in the future (and I suggest you do too):

1. Find a market that is already buying stuff
and sell them what they are already buying
(idea stolen from Frank Kern and tested thoroughly)

2. Build lists in markets where they are already
buying stuff and sell them more related stuff
(idea stolen from Allen Says and tested thoroughly)

3. Drink a lot of beer and eat like there’s no
tomorrow

One of the above 3 things is optional - you
choose which one.

I like to do stuff the easy way so for #1 (find
a market that is already buying stuff…) I just
browse Clickbank’s categories and find markets
which have lots of products in the top selling
positions (i.e high gravity and high referred %)

For #2 there are tons of stuff you can do to
build huge email lists and follow up with them
to sell them stuff - while giving them good value.

This is what I will be focusing in the future:

1. Give you freebies that show you how to build
your lists

2. Give you freebies that you can give away to
build your lists

3. Show you what to say in your emails so that
you can make more sales from your lists

If you do not have a list and are weirded out
at the thought of having one, just know this:

- What’s the worst that can happen?

You totally screw up and people make fun of
you (it happens to me all the time)

Some people buy. Some make fun of you.

You get better.  More people buy from you.

Some people still make fun of you.

The more money you make the more you laugh
at the people making fun of you (this is
a scientific formula)

Following up and doing a really bad job at it
is way better than not following up at all.

Anyway, I think you’ve had enough of me for
today so I’ll end this right here.

Have a great day!

Talk soon,

Stelios

P.S I promised you a picture kissing the Vegas
ground like the Pope does. Here it is :)

If You Are Struggling Trying To Start Your Online Business … I Want You!

Posted by Stelios Eleftheriou on December 11th, 2007

Having an Internet marketing list for more than 2 years now, I communicate with my subscribers every single day.   Through this communication I have found that the biggest problem for most people is to get started.

I don’t want to go Tony Robbins on you, but even in everyday life… you’ll notice that once you start a task you get a momentum and it’s so much easier to follow through once you have that momentum going.

For this reason, I created a free, simple 5-step guide which shows people how to set up their online business in under 24 hours.

This was an example step-by-step plan … which aimed at getting people started as soon as possible, so that they can get the needed momentum to start making money online.

The guide is still online and you can read it here:

http://www.imsuccessguide.com/set-up-your-own-website.html

Although many people found it useful, I realized there was something missing.

The guide is talking about the technical aspects of setting up an online business, and it’s good from the standpoint of taking action and starting something… however people needed a better understanding of marketing online, in order to be successful.

Recently I stumbled upon a guide which I think is the missing puzzle that will give newbies and intermediate marketers alike that better understanding of how they should market online…

Warning - don’t be put off by its size (193 pages!), nor by its price (free!)

So instead of writing my own guide and reinventing the wheel I’m giving you this guide absolutely free:

Not Making Enough Money… It’s Not Your Fault

Posted by Stelios Eleftheriou on October 14th, 2007

You’ve heard it time and time again…

It’s not your fault!

Actually I’ve read it in a sales letter earlier today and it has triggered this post.

I’m not debating whether the phrase “it’s not your fault” is not working in sales letters.  It’s been used for ages so it is working.  The fact that it hasn’t worked on me just means that I’m not their target market.

But I wanted to post about this…

When marketers use this phrase in their sales letters they are obviously trying to create empathy with their target market.

You are fat? It’s not your fault … there are so many fast food places around your house.

Not making enough money? It’s not your fault … those damn gurus just sell crap so they  can rip us off and get even more rich.

… I think you get the idea.

Well, unless you are severely physically handicapped, IT IS YOUR FAULT!

If we just stop blaming others and take responsibility everything becomes so much easier.  When we don’t have that excuse that “it’s not our fault” - then there’s only one direction we can head to… and that’s up.

How To Be More Focused & Make More Money

Posted by Stelios Eleftheriou on October 3rd, 2007

By being more focused you are bound to make more money… this is especially true for the Internet marketing crowd.

Think about it… we are constantly being bombarded with new info and tons of different stuff are seeking our attention… and what do we do?  We are looking for even more stuff to spend time on!

It’s madness and it has to stop.

So how do you get more focused?

First, you define your major distractions.  For example for me are:

1. forums

2. email

3. reading soccer related news

4. reading new ebooks

5. Youtube

For you the list might look similar but with some variations.

Once you know your enemy it’s easier to fight it.  Now that you now what is wasting most of your time, try to change your current schedule to eliminate the time-wasting activities.

For example, do email only once at the beginning or at the end of your day and then stop checking it every 5 minutes.

If you want to watch your favorite soap-opera forum drama, then do it at 9 at night when you are all done with your productive activities, which actually bring in cash.

Take action on strategies that are already earning you money and you know that by repeating them you will multiply your profits, rather than constantly looking for the magic bullet.  By all means, keep learning but take action on a new technique before you set it aside to READ about the next one.

Selling Ebooks On Ebay For Backend Profits

Posted by Stelios Eleftheriou on August 23rd, 2007

CONTENTS:

       1. Selling Ebooks On Ebay For Backend Profits
       2. Quote of the Day

1. Selling Ebooks On Ebay For Backend Profits
===================================================

As I told you a couple of days ago, in today’s newsletter
we’ll be talking about selling ebooks on ebay for backend
profits.

There’s no need for me to tell you how huge eBay is and
the people searching on eBay are there with a credit card
on hand looking for stuff to buy.

In other words, it’s nothing like other places where people
might be searching for free infomation.

So without further ado let’s dive into the meat of the
newsletter.

If you haven’t sold ebooks on eBay before then read the
ebook I’ve written about it, “Ebook Auction Cash”:

http://www.ebookauctioncash.com/oto/d0wnload.htm

Even if you are already selling, I’m sure you’ll pick a
couple of tips in that ebook.

If you don’t have ebooks with resale rights to sell then
you can grab these 15 niche ebooks, which come with master
resale rights and sales pages:

http://www.freenichemarketing.com/oto/d0wnload.htm
Sidebar: The profits are made from affiliate links within
the ebooks, therefore I suggest you either brand your own
ebooks with affiliate links or pick up the branding rights
to those 15 niche ebooks at

http://www.brandingrightsfortunes.com

(Note: if you pick up the OTO - one time offer - when you join
http://www.freenichemarketing.com/ it will cost you
$47, rather than $67 at http://www.brandingrightsfortunes.com )

That way you’ll be profiting from the ebooks for months
and years down the road.

How many ebooks are you opening with copyright notices
dating back to 2000?  See where I’m getting?

So in a nutshell here’s how to start:

Step 1: Read “Ebook Auction Cash”

Step 2: Brand your PLR ebooks with affiliate links or
if you like the fast and easy solution, pick up
branding rights to niche ebooks

Step 3: Start listing ebooks at $0.99

The important thing is that you take action.  All the
info you read will be useless if you don’t put it into
action.

Ideally, you’ll need to do the following:

a. Do some research on what’s already selling:

http://www.imsuccessguide.com/ebaywhatshot

b. Find related keywords for your title from Overture’s
keyword suggestion tool:

http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

e.g if you have an ebook on dog training you would enter
“dog training” in Overture’s tool and then try to squeeze
the top searched keywords in the title. eBay allows you
55 characters and you should maximize that space to create
a compelling title, while including as many of the top
searched keywords

An example would be:

DOG TRAINING SECRETS~TRAIN DOGS BEHAVIOR & OBEDIENCE !!

In this example title you should notice that I’m using
all caps. I’m also using special characters to save space and
make my title stand out from the other auctions that will
be above it and below it while being displayed on eBay.

This information is more than enough to get you started.

Don’t try to get it right the first time. Just get it
going. You’ll later figure out strategies of your own.

Don’t forget to tell me though :)

a good way to get back more than you’d expect.”
